Managing Director

I’m Danielle and I’m the Managing Director here at Sportfit.  I have been working in Social Care for 8 years now and am an experienced Accountant and Operations Lead.  I have worked alongside Ashley Vickers, the founder of Sportfit Support Services, to help grow and develop our services from its origins of activity support and domiciliary, to a leading provider of Supported Accommodation, Registered Childrens homes, Education and Therapy.  
 
I have over fifteen years’ worth of experience in Operations and Finance and bring an expert eye to the organisation ensuring all we do has the young person’s needs at the centre of our decision making. Away from Sportfit, I volunteer for SHOUT, a mental health crisis service and have a keen interest in mental health and wellbeing support services.  I am one of our Mental Health and Youth Mental Health first aiders for Sportfit.  I am a sucker for interior design and am currently renovating our home with my football mad little boy.

Head of Compliance

As Sportfit continues to grow and diversify the opportunities that we offer young people, whether in Supported Accommodation, Children’s Homes, Education or Counselling, the need for the company to meet legislative and regulatory requirements becomes ever more important.

As Sportfit’s Head of Compliance it will be my duty to ensure that all areas of the organisation are compliant in their day-to-day practice and are meeting legal standards, whilst also continuing to adhere to in-house policies and procedures.

As a member of The Senior Leadership Team, I will be working closely with The Managing Director, The Head of People Strategy and HR in drafting, modifying and implementing company policies, reviewing the work of colleagues, identifying compliance issues and providing advice and/or training.

My role will entail the development and oversight of the control systems we currently have in place at Sportfit, evaluating the efficiency of these systems and continuously looking to improve them.

In a nutshell, as Head of Compliance, I will be responsible for making sure that the organisation and everyone associated with Sportfit have everything they need to deliver excellent services in a safe and nurturing environment.

Melvin

Head of People Strategy

I am very excited to be undertaking this new role within Sportfit Support Services. Within my new position, my mission will be to evolve the culture and for us to become more people focused.

The fundamentals of people strategy are leadership, culture, talent, reskilling, and HR. This will make us stronger, more agile, more innovative, and more responsive. In this role I will be looking to elevate our most important assets: our staff. 

To support me on this journey, I am looking forward to working with all our employees across all our departments.
