About Us

Based on the South Coast and with over 10 years’ worth of experience, we offer bespoke support to young people across our Supported Accommodation provision, our Residential Childrens Homes and a bespoke Education setting.  All three of our services as well as our Sportfit family of employees, are supported by our fantastic Therapy department.

We work with young people from a huge variety of backgrounds with the aim to provide a safe, caring environment where they are able to flourish and create a life they are proud of.

We support the local authorities we work with by providing quality accommodation, therapeutic support and a person centred approach to all we do.

Mission statement

Sportfit Support Services Ltd was founded in 2012, with a vision – to make a positive difference to the lives of young people.

Sportfit’s ongoing mission is to sustain this vision by providing the highest quality of person-centred support to each and every young person within our service

Whether it be Sportfit’s Post 16 High Needs Supported Accommodation Services; Independent Living Provisions; Domiciliary Care & Activity Support Division or The Education Department – the aim is straightforward – to offer excellent packages that are bespoke to each young person.

Through individualised support and risk management planning, progressive outcomes are identified and worked towards. These outcomes provide every young person with opportunities to experience achievement, success and sometimes setbacks (which we believe are often the most valuable learning opportunities).

Throughout a young person’s journey with Sportfit, our committed staff teams work hard to build a sense of independence; resilience; perseverance and autonomy and these qualities give rise to improved self-confidence, higher levels of self-esteem and increased motivation in achieving their personal goals.

Sportfit’s support is always delivered in safe, nurturing, consistent environments; positive role-modelling from very well-trained support staff and experienced management, over time, leads to altered aspirations and improved attitudes towards self-development and personal progress.

Sportfit are: Dedicated, Flexible, Empowering, Collaborative and Reflective – and these values are ingrained in everything we do, every day

Social value Calculator

Sportfit Support Services is working in partnership with Thrive, to deliver a social value calculator which will demonstrate our social value.

The Thrive platform helps us support our goals around staff apprenticeships, creating new employment and extending our provision of Mental Health First Aiders to our colleagues.  Thrive’s system assigns a social value ‘cost’ (or ‘proxy’) to each of the targets we meet in our projects and helps us report and evidence the impact we are making as an organisation.

Since starting our partnership with Thrive we have generated over £277,052.54 in social value, which is an impressive achievement.  By utilising the Thrive platform we can continue to track and measure our social impact, which will not only benefit Sportfit, but also contribute to our transparency and accountability in the communities we serve.’

We look forward to reporting on our social value fully later on this year.
