New Respite Care House for Over 16’s With Learning DifficultiesSportfit Support Services Ltd. is delighted to announce that its superb respite care house in Bournemouth is now open, providing both planned and emergency respite care for over 16’s with additional needs.

Sportfit’s Operations Manager, Danielle Piller says “This new addition to our growing service portfolio, provides the perfect setting for a stable and enjoyable respite break. Set back only 100m from the sea, close to Hengistbury Head nature reserve, yet within an easy reach of Bournemouth and Southampton, Clowes Avenue is a haven of peace and tranquillity, perfect for over 16’s with additional needs.”

This comfortable, welcoming house can accommodate three respite placements at any one time. Each young person has their own spacious room as well as access to an open plan communal lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and secure garden. There is no minimum or maximum stay criteria. Typically our respite breaks can be a short as a couple of days or as a long as a couple of weeks.

Our experienced and fully qualified support team are on hand to assist each guest during the day and throughout the night.

We also offer every guest a flexible support programme of daily activities and excursions led by our enthusiastic support staff. These are tailored to suit the needs, wants, and interests of each young person.  Our activities include visits to Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre, the New Forest Wildlife Centre, local watersports providers, ten-pin bowling,  cinema, and shopping trips.

Clowes Avenue is available for visits before booking, should parents, Social Workers, commissioners or young people want to visit.
